Wine Selection - November 2021

November 2021

Another month of travelling around the world, with different grapes from different countries such as Italy, Australia, Chile and Spain, and a special highlight; “Condado de Haza” the best Crianza in the world!

  • Falesco – Vitiano Bianco IGP - The grapes (50% Vermentino and 50% Verdicchio) thrive in the sedimentary clay soils around the Marciliano estate. Vitiano Bianco is a balanced, delightful, and fresh wine with captivating aromas of citrusy lime, ripe Anjou pear, and fragrant herbs.

  • Brancaia - Sauvignon - Viognier "IL Bianco" IGT - Brancaia IL BIANCO is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc with some Viognier. It is a fresh white wine with a fruity bouquet. Not having accomplished the malolactic fermentation, this wine shows a fresh acidity. It matures for 5 months on yeasts.

  • Antinori - Santa Cristina Cipressetto Rosato Toscana IGT - Cipresseto is a light pink in colour. The nose offers fresh notes of raspberries and wild strawberries as its aromatic profile. The palate is soft, full, harmonious, and with a long a fruit finish and aftertaste.

  • Fantini - Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC - A ruby red wine with garnet reflections. Intense notes of red fruits stand out on the nose, with a clear predominance of red fruits, morello cherry and plum, accompanied by light notes of vanilla. In the mouth it is a full-bodied and balanced wine, with perfectly integrated tannins and a persistent finish.

  • Fattoria le Pupille - Morellino Di Scansano DOCG - Bright red with ruby reflections. The nose, the predominant morello cherry evolves into small red berries notes. The palate of reflects its freshness and persistence tense and silky tannins. Perfect with sauce based first courses, even more elaborated ones and second courses typical of Maremma cuisine. At a 18°C temperature it is very good as an appetizer companion.

  • Collavini - "More" IGT - Ruby red, thick and intense, with a deep violet rim. The nose is complex, fruity and spicy, with a clear hint of forest fruit, tobacco & liquorice. The mouthfeel is rich, full bodied, aromatic and persistent, with an abundance of soft and tender tannins.
